Mikaela grew up in a motorsport family where racing was always a natural part of life. Yet, it wasn't an obvious path from the start – it wasn't until she inherited her brother's go-kart at the age of ten that her passion truly ignited. The road to success was anything but straightforward; in the beginning, finishing second to last felt like a victory. But Mikaela never let setbacks discourage her. With unwavering determination and relentless drive, she steadily moved closer to the top – a journey that shaped her life philosophy: "Never give up."
Alongside her passion for racing, Mikaela pursued a technical education in high school with a focus on architecture. She stood out as the top student of her class and was awarded a scholarship upon graduation. This combination of technical knowledge and athletic ambition has given her a unique platform to inspire others.
Through dedication and passion, Mikaela has achieved an international career in motorsport, competing professionally for 13 seasons worldwide – from the glaciers of Greenland and the beaches of Senegal to the vast deserts of Saudi Arabia and Chile. Every race has presented challenges but also opportunities for growth and development.
As a woman in a male-dominated world, Mikaela has faced resistance and prejudice, but her determination has enabled her to break through glass ceilings and pave the way for other young women in the sport. By challenging norms, she has not only fulfilled her dreams but also inspired others to dare to do the same.
